Sonder Magazine
My senior year, I was in a magazine design class and I created a fictitious 8 page lifestyle magazine called Sonder that focused on travel, music, and outdoor adventure. Not only did we print our magazines, we also created a digital version of the magazine to be read on a tablet.
Design Process
For each page of our magazine, we held an in-class design critique. We paired up with other students for one-on-one critiques and came together as a class for group critiques. This helped us make improvements and gain an outside perspective on our work. This was also a fundamental aspect of us learning how to follow an iterative design process and learning how to derive value from constructive criticism.
